Kind of a lazy Sunday

I didn't really do much today. I sang at Unity Church of Positive Living's service this morning. I really like singing there; I really feel like they appreciate my time and talents. I'm also going to be in their Christmas service (we'll be performing a skit of a metaphysical interpretation of the holiday) and I'm going to sing in their Christmas Eve service. I'm thinking about singing in their December 27 service too.

Usually I only sing one Sunday a month at Unity. But they need people to provide music at their services during the holiday season when a lot of people are going out of town or out of state to be with family. I have no plans to go anywhere for any of the holidays so I figure I might as well sing at their services. Why not? I just hope nobody gets tired of me singing two or three services in a row!

My birthday is on Tuesday! My birthdays generally aren't the best...December birthdays tend to be forgotten in favor of Christmas by most people (my father being the exception :p). But I'm going to try to hold a get-together at my place. Yeah, it's going to be short notice for the people I'm inviting, but at least then only the people who really want to come will be here :)

But the really exciting thing this week is Saturday the DSC choirs are going to Temple Square in Salt Lake City! I've never been there so I'm excited. We're not spending the night - just driving up in the bus, singing, and driving back down to St. George - but it's also not costing the students anything which is awesome. I'm told that the choirs go every other Christmas season. Going every other year instead of every year keeps costs down.

So, if I remember right, at 4:00 pm we're singing at the Joseph Smith Building and at...7:30, I think, we're singing at the Assembly Hall.

And, of course, can't forget that the winter choral concert is Friday (the 11th) at DSC. It's going to be great. :)

One of my new roommates has a Super Nintendo and a bunch of old school games! Watching everyone play Super Mario and Aladdin is fun - I'm not so good at playing them myself (my eye-hand coordination isn't the best ever) but I've always enjoyed watching.

Anyway, I'm off, got to wrap up some homework and hit the sack.
